Addie + Tim — Fairytale Garden Wedding
Tim and Addie had a dream of having a fairytale garden wedding and this day was more than magical. You could not have chosen a more beautiful August day for this wedding. The lush greenery, ivy, and grape vines combined with the bride’s love for bright, vibrant pink florals gave our team and all of the guests something to awe about as they explored the gardens of Wadley Farms. My favorite part of this Lindon, Utah venue is the seemingly endless spots for photos and the stunning backdrop of trees and colors for guests to enjoy as they eat and mingle.
This couple has known each other since Tim was the TA in Addie’s chemistry class. Is it too cliché to say something about the chemistry they shared? Okay I’m done now, haha. Tim proposed to Addie on her birthday and traveled eight hours to see her every weekend for four months while they lived long distance. Like every couple, Tim and Addie’s relationship is unique, and we incorporated their story and the things they love into their wedding day.
The reception was catered by their favorite Utah pizza company, Fiore Pizza, and accompanied by their favorite drink, Code Red Mountain Dew. There was a decadent dessert bar we put together from the Sweet Tooth Fairy, and the wedding cake display was one of our favorite elements of the evening. After the ceremony was held in the railroad building, we decided with the florist that we should repurpose their mantle florals since that room wouldn’t be used until late night dancing began. This is why it’s so good to give your vendors artistic freedom- we decided at the moment to move those florals around the cake and the result was STUNNING.
Rather than a traditional first look, Tim and Addie wrote each other letters and read them to each other during a first touch. Combined with their time we added in for sunset photos, both moments allowed them to sneak away from the bustling wedding events for a few minutes to enjoy each other and add a few more couple shots to their collection (especially with sunset providing some of the best lighting of the day). Savannah with Dear Kodak Photography did an amazing job of delivering artistic and candid photos, just as the couple wanted.
As guests lined up for a dazzling sparkler sendoff, the couple took a few more quiet moments with their photographer in the photo area they had created for guests. It included a vintage couch, a neon sign, and polaroid cameras where guests were invited to snap a photo and write a note- which they then pinned to a stunning display the couple and their bridal party created. This provided a more immersive experience for guests rather than the traditional guest book table.
We had so much fun celebrating Addie and Tim. It was even more exciting to know that after their civil ceremony with family and friends, they were headed to Rome, Italy to be married religiously. I wish the absolute best for this sweet couple!
