This wedding editorial shoot was all about purple elegance. It is often said that you can’t make purple classy, so we decided to take on the challenge and see what beauty we could come up with. We coordinated with the most incredible team of vendors to create an aesthetic that was simple but playful. Annali and Cameron were the perfect models for this shoot. They brought such a calm and happy atmosphere to the photos. And the florals by Jane Dae Floral took my breath away. The stunning bouquet that Annali held was almost completely white, with just a couple of light purple flowers to tie everything together.

We chose this Downtown Salt Lake studio for its crisp, clean walls. The white-painted brick walls were a perfect backdrop for our editorial details. The vintage concrete floors and large, old windows provided so many opportunities for these gorgeous photos.

The star of this shoot was the gorgeous marbled cake by Frosted by Ash. We told her purple, gave her a few inspiration photos, and she impressed us with her beautiful design. The simple pattern and pops of gold really brought our vision for the shoot to life. That is why it is so important to really trust your vendors. It can be hard to give decision-making power over to another person, especially when you are planning an event as important as a wedding, but as long as you’ve done your research, the professionals that you hire do know what they’re doing. This team of vendors really took this Salt Lake editorial shoot to the next level. We were able to take a simple theme, purple, and create a unique and stylish aesthetic for brides and grooms to use as wedding inspiration.
