Ashley + Kadin — Provo, Utah wedding
Ashley and Kadin are an energetic and adventurous couple who planned an absolute party of a wedding day. They chose our DIY package, which allowed them to plan their own wedding with guidance from our team along the way. It was so much fun to learn more about them and help them build a wedding day that was tailored perfectly to them + we had fun doing a little custom signage for them as well!
This couple is the definition of a long-distance success story. Although they had traveled to twenty different states together, they had never actually lived in the same state until they got married. They even choose last minute to change the state that the wedding was in, but their families were supportive and made accommodations to be there on their wedding day. And they couldn’t have chosen a better day to get married in the Provo City Center temple. It was 93 degrees outside and OVERCAST. Summer blessings are real.
My favorite thing about this wedding was the simple but intentional details. You could feel the couple’s love and personalities in every aspect of this wedding day! Their photo backdrop was a wall decorated with paper cranes made by the groom’s younger brother. Rather than gently feeding each other their wedding cake, Ashley and Kadin threw the cake and caught it in their mouths (they’re both huge athletes). Not only was their wedding cake gorgeous and covered in colorful, dried flowers, it was three layers tall and made up of the couple’s three favorite flavors.
To end the celebrations, the bride and groom left the party wearing matching sweatsuits. Ashley's was all white, and Kadin's was all black. I have never seen a grand exit like it before!
Ashley and Kadin planned a spunky, high-energy wedding day from start to finish. From what I heard, their grandparents were dancing it out at the reception more than anyone else!
