Bailey + Bennett — Twenty + Creek in Salt Lake City, Utah
An Ideal Summertime Wedding
You know those people that you instantly click with and want as friends? That’s Bailey and Bennett.
Bailey and Bennett are two of the most friendly, kind, and fun people you’ll ever meet. I loved working with them so much that I want to introduce them as my new best friends. There are no words for how awesome it is to collaborate with people who are on the same page as you, especially for an event as important as a wedding.
Meeting the couple
Bailey and Bennett both live in Northern Utah, but they actually met halfway across the world while on a church service mission in Rome, Italy. Because of that, they both speak Italian and share a deep love for the Italian people. On the flip side, something they do NOT share is a love for country music; it’s actually one of their biggest disagreements. In their everyday life, Bennett is the one who usually does most of the cooking. Fun, huh?
All about the venue
B & B decided to tie the knot in Sandy, Utah at Twenty and Creek. Think elegant, bright, vaulted ceilings and a stunning fireplace. It’s one of those perfect spaces that provides everything you might need while still being a blank canvas for whatever vision the client has.
A few of our favorite places at the venue are outside amid the stunning outdoor landscaping and a fairytale-esque bride’s room. There is also a large, moody suite downstairs where Bennett and his groomsmen rocked out to Garage Band before the ceremony began.
The ceremony and reception
The couple decided that something important to them was making sure all of the people who had touched their lives were able to celebrate with them. This made for a larger guest count that could have easily felt overwhelming, but there was some kind of magic in the air because it felt intimate and cozy, despite the number of people. There was so much love, support, and friendship in the room that you could tell each guest was intentionally chosen to be invited, regardless of the guest size.
Bailey and Bennett really incorporated their interests and personalities into their day, which is always our favorite way to design a day. They choose to serve wood fire pizza to their guests, Bennett’s suit was a handsome Italian-made ensemble, their family members helped with the floral arrangements and decorating, and at the end of the night, they rode away together on their motorcycle- matching helmets and all.
