Lavender and Honey

This beautiful editorial shoot was inspired by the essence of Lavender and Honey. We wanted the shoot to feel soft, delicate, and elegant at the same time. Our stunning model, Bella, wore a custom dress from J. Avery Designs that added to the light and airy feel of the shoot. The skirt was long and flowing, allowing us to capture some beautiful images with movement. Bella wore her hair and makeup in such a soft and natural fashion. It was perfect for our simple and organic vision of lavender and honey.

I don’t often mix whites and creams, but this tablescape surprised me. You don’t always have the luxury of seeing items in person before an event day, so I trust my design gut that things will work out. I was so glad that my instincts were right with this setup! I absolutely loved how casual yet chic all of the elements looked. All of the elegant items of the table setting tied the design together without taking anything away from the STUNNING floral arrangements.

Clearly, the florals here took center stage. We had gorgeous bouquets and bowled centerpieces, all made of delicate + luxurious colored florals. I love the tall and simple florals across the table in the colors of lavender and honey, the inspiration for the editorial shoot. Terra Flora is so talented at making a vision come to life and her work perfectly embodied the organic, natural vision we had in mind for this shoot. Studio Noire Noir in downtown Salt Lake City was the perfect place to bring everything to life. The crisp white space allowed the details of the shoot to stand out.

I love being able to work with other artists in the wedding industry and create a scene such as this. Terra Flora Design and I had a vision together, and all of the vendors involved helped us bring it to life. There are so many talented people in this business, and I am so grateful to work beside them. Not only on projects such as this but also as we work on actual weddings and celebrations.
