Intimate Celebration in the Pacific Northwest

Ashley and Ariel’s vow renewal was a perfect day and a beautiful reminder of how special vow renewals are. Taking time to honor a relationship that has matured through years of commitment to one another is uniquely inspiring. Add a stunning couple and a gorgeous location, and it’s bound to be a picture-perfect day. (Spoiler alert: it was!)

The backdrop to a dreamy day

Ashley and Ariel renewed their vows at Munson Creek Falls in the Tillamook Forest. If you’ve never been to this part of the Oregon Coast, it’s widely known for its breathtaking timber, specifically the Douglas-fir and Western Hemlock trees. Together, these trees create a thick canopy over the trail to Munson Falls. The falls themselves are surrounded by dense brush and lush greenery. It’s an enchanting sight to behold and the perfect setting for a vow renewal.

An important aspect of planning a vow renewal is choosing a venue that will honor and enhance your unique love story. For Ashley and Ariel, that location was a beautiful corner of Northern Oregon. For other couples, it may be a tropical beach or a grand hotel. One of the best parts about vow renewals is that the celebration is usually on a much smaller scale than a wedding, meaning that you’ll have more flexibility with locations that will fit your guests.

The day could not have started any better. With the sunlight cracking through the branches overhead and the mist floating throughout the forest floor, it felt like a scene out of a storybook. The Pacific Northwest is an area that typically experiences pretty heavy rainfall, but we were lucky enough to have a clear day- cold but beautiful.

Reflecting on the past, celebrating the future

One major benefit of having a vow renewal is that it can be completely customized to who you are as a married couple. Unlike a wedding ceremony, vow renewals provide the opportunity to reflect on the past years of your marriage and express how your love has deepened over the years.
