Creating a Wedding Day That Feels Like You

One of our number one priorities when planning a wedding for our clients is creating an event that is true to their unique personalities. For us, that starts at the very beginning of the process. There are so many factors that go into a successful wedding- from the contracts and lists to the catering and decor, there is a lot of ground to cover.

Looking for vintage-style wedding inspiration? Using family wedding photos in antique frames as decor for your reception is a great way to incorporate family into a chic historic wedding. #EversonEvents #UtahWeddingDesigner #weddingplanningtips

We never want our clients to feel weighed down by all of the nitty-gritty wedding details. You can leave all of that to us! Once we get all of the logistics out of the way, you can get down to all the fun aspects of wedding planning. Of course, there are a few things that make both of our jobs easier, and one of them is coming to our first meeting prepared with some clear ideas in mind.

One of those ideas is an overall picture of what you want your wedding to look like. Knowing your wedding style and aesthetic will help guide the planning process in the right direction.

Your unique style is more than choosing colors and decorations. It comes down to crafting an experience that reflects your personality, dreams, and relationship.

Here are five ideas that will help you identify your wedding style and set us up for success in the planning process.

Number of Guests

The amount of people invited to your wedding is a factor that will impact almost every other decision in your wedding planning. It doesn’t sound related to aesthetics, but having a solid head count is really the best place to start. Think about what your ideal wedding looks like, whether that’s an intimate group or a big celebration.

Location

Once you’ve narrowed down how many guests you’ll invite, you can start thinking about where you want your wedding to take place. There’s no need to have anything set in stone before we meet, we just want you to have an idea of the kind of venues you like. Your venue will really help communicate the overall vibe of your event.

Personal Preferences

Your everyday choices in terms of decor and lifestyle are a great place to start gathering ideas. Are you drawn to a more classic look? Maybe you gravitate towards bohemian, modern, or vintage styles? Those things are important to take into consideration. While you can certainly try new things for your wedding, we still want it to feel like you.

Your Love Story

Weddings are the perfect time to share about your relationship. All the little things that make you and your fiance unique are exactly what we want to celebrate. Specific elements to your relationship that are fun to incorporate into your wedding design can include pictures of when you met, certain things you enjoy, or your cultural background.

Collect Inspiration

After nailing down some of the more concrete details about your personal style, it’s time to create a few mood boards. If you haven’t already, take to Pinterest and put together ideas of wedding aesthetics you like. Even things that aren’t necessarily wedding-related can help us get a picture of what you are envisioning. Gather any and all pins that really resonate with you. This allows us + you to narrow down on what you really love and make decisions moving forward.

Our team is ready and excited to be right there with you through every step of the planning process. We have lots of resources available to help you bring your ideas and vision to life. Your wedding design should be the culmination of everything that makes you and your fiance who you are. We can’t wait to be part of your experience!
